In addition to the FSSC 22000, our Food Grade stations are FDA registered. We have two (2) completely equipped stations that can jet mill, blend, screen, and package under current Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) standards. Also, our facilities can process both Kosher and Halal certified products. Lastly, Fluid Energy is an allergen-free facility, and our Food Safety Plan includes programs covering Document Control, HACCP, Bio-terrorism, and Environmental Monitoring.
From the minute a shipment enters our facility until the time it leaves it is tracked, monitored and handled by a specific set of employees trained in the current Food Grade regulations. All food grade employees are certified in Bioterrorism Prevention, Food Grade Cleaning and Sanitizing, HAACP programs, Glass, Ceramic and Brittle Plastic Inspections and our Food Safety Plan. To keep our operators and support staff up to date on the evolving standards, mandatory training sessions are held monthly.
The balance of our toll processing facility consists of nearly 15 processing stations designed to handle technical grade materials following the same ISO 9001:2015 certified foundation. Whether it’s a few drums of material or truck load quantities, we can handle it. Even though they are not food grade, we employ the same level of quality control and integrity to the process. All our food grade operators graduate from the tech grade section of the plant once they have acquired the necessary experience.
Our Test Center and Engineering departments work closely with the Toll Processing division to optimize all processes, including food grade. While our lab and pilot capabilities are not food grade we can mimic the operations in the food grade station on small samples to develop a process. This allows us to work with customers to jointly develop a process that can be carried out in our food grade rooms without consuming too much material ro time. Often those processes include multiple steps like milling, blending, and packaging or crushing, fine grinding, and packaging.
